Group Insurance
Many employers offer several types of group insurance to their employees. Generally, the employer pays a percentage of the premium and, in some cases, all of the premium. Listed below are some of the types of coverage that are available with group policies.
  • Health Insurance - Health insurance pays for medical bills (minus deductibles, coinsurance and policy limits) in the event of serious illness or injury which could be financially devastating. Several plans are available and information can be provided by your agent.
  • Life Insurance - Benefit is paid for the employee (and sometimes family members) in the event of death or dismemberment.
  • Disability Income - Covers a percentage of employee wages if they are unable to work due to illness or injury. Several waiting periods and benefit payment periods are available.
  • Dental - Covers dental care in accordance with policy schedules.
  • Vision – Covers eye exams, glasses and contact lenses in accordance with policy schedules.
